Privacy policy

This is a static site. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no forms, and nothing is sold or paid for here, so there is very little to collect in the first place.

What Gets Recorded

Aggregate analytics, when enabled, count things in bulk: which pages were opened, the general region a visitor came from, the kind of device used, and which outbound links were followed. The outbound clicks matter most. They tell us whether a page did its job, for instance whether someone chose a standard cabin round trip over a crystal cabin, or picked the five-hour Tai O and Big Buddha tour over the seven-hour VIP option. That is the whole test: did the page help a reader decide? No individual is being tracked or profiled. There are no names, emails, phone numbers or card details anywhere, because the site never asks for them and has nothing to sell you.

Cookies and loaded content

Analytics tools bring their own cookies. Embedded content works differently again: a map of the Tung Chung terminal or a video of the ride is fetched from the provider's servers as the page loads, and whatever that provider then sets on your browser is governed by its own policy rather than this one.

Following a link to a live booking page sets a cookie on that side, so a later purchase can be traced back to this site. Such cookies are the platform's, covered by its policy, not this one. The same applies to any tour operator you land on after leaving, whether the product is a cable car ticket from Ngong Ping 360 Limited or a guided Lantau day trip: their terms take over at that point. • Sell or share your personal data with anyone.
• No ad networks run on these pages: no retargeting scripts, no third-party advertising cookies of any kind.
• Ask for your email address. There is no mailing list, and reading the site requires no account or sign-up.
• Take payments, hold a cabin on the cable car or handle a booking. Your card details, your confirmation email and your seat on the Tung Chung to Ngong Ping ride all stay with the operator's own listing, never here.
• Operate a contact form. The contact page holds a plain mailto link, so anything you write leaves your own inbox and reaches us without passing through a server we control.

Hosting

A third-party hosting company serves these pages and, like nearly every host, records standard server logs with IP addresses for security and to block abuse. Those logs are never examined to work out who you are or to connect a reader to the Lantau tour pages they browsed.

Your choices

Tracking protection in your browser, an ad blocker, or a Do Not Track setting will stop the analytics script from running, and nothing on the site breaks when it does. Turning JavaScript off altogether also works: every page still loads, apart from the mobile menu.
